Slab-built ceramic vessel based on the female nude form in earthenware. Decorated using paper resist with black and white clay slips. Glazed inside.
I cut paper for the lines, and like to use scissors for cutting so that the lines are quite crude, not too accurate. The paper "lines" are then pushed onto the pot, and painted over with black clay slip. This is rubbed, to slightly polish it and harden the surface, and then the paper is removed to reveal a white "line".
